Our Story
Rooted in the fertile heartlands of Sri Lanka, our journey begins in Madalagama Village, Kahawatta, beautifully nestled among rolling mountain landscapes and mist-kissed hills in the Ratnapura District of Sabaragamuwa Province.
Surrounded by lush forests, singing birds, and rich biodiversity, our gardens thrive in a peaceful natural environment where nature remains pure and untouched. This region, known as Ratnapura—meaning “City of Gems”, is world-renowned for its natural richness, and its fertile soil and gentle climate give life to our exceptional tea and cinnamon.
Here, within this serene hillside setting, our naturally grown tea gardens and cinnamon plantations flourish—absorbing the essence of the land, the cool mountain air, and generations of traditional farming wisdom. This unique environment shapes the purity, aroma, and character of every product we create.
As a fully integrated, family-led business, we proudly manage our own tea and cinnamon gardens, ensuring complete control over quality—from cultivation to final product.
Our company is led by Mrs. Kalpana Thennakoon (Chief Executive Officer), whose vision and dedication guide the business forward, together with Mr. Rohan Vitharana (Director & Secretary), ensuring strong governance and transparency.
Our deep commitment to authenticity and excellence is inspired by our beloved late father, Mr. B. V. Piyadasa, a legendary Sri Lankan tea farmer with over 60 years of experience. His lifelong devotion to traditional tea cultivation laid the foundation for preserving authentic handmade Ceylon tea and natural agricultural practices.
At the heart of our family is our loving mother, Mrs. A. K. G. Somawathi, whose care, wisdom, and hands-on involvement continue to guide our daily processes. Her dedication ensures every product is crafted with patience, sincerity, and respect for nature.
