True Ceylon Cinnamon: The Healthier Choice
Ceylon Cinnamon vs Cassia
True Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) is the original and authentic form of Cinnamon, naturally healthier than Cassia due to its very low coumarin content, making it safe for daily use. It offers a mild, naturally sweet flavor, is gentle on digestion, and valued for its natural antioxidant properties.
Cassia cinnamon, which is commonly available in the USA, EU, and other global markets at very low prices, contains significantly higher levels of coumarin and has a much stronger, sharper taste. Because of this, Cassia is not recommended for regular or long-term consumption.
While Cassia is often sold simply as “cinnamon,” it is not true cinnamon.
True Cinnamon is Ceylon Cinnamon, traditionally grown and carefully processed in Sri Lanka, offering superior purity, safety, and quality for everyday cooking and wellness-focused use.
